Oh, it started well enough with tiggerbrat/maledomestic{TM}t taking Me out for a lovely lunch (thank you)…..  
Then the day itself arrived. Obviously the “best” thing to do on your birthday is to rat around for tools in the cupboard under the stairs so coffee slave can fix the back door and do some other odd jobs around the place. Mind you, the back door wouldn’t have been quite so urgent had coffee slave NOT broken a section of key off in the lock!  

In the end I ordered the greedy cupboard stripped out & sorted properly (it was quite an Aladdins cave in there, and you should have seen coffee slave’s face light up when he re-discovered My wooden soled mules and a metal hanger that he instantly clamped to his nipples! LOL!).  

The cupboard eventually yielded it’s bounty of tools which were replaced in the tool box and is now a useable space again.  

OK, so far, so unexpected! The day rolled on and I spent it with My household & family……As it drew to a close My offspring decided to surprise Me with cake…which she decided to thaw in the microwave (I love cake so I always keep it frozen and restricted, otherwise My PVC dress will explode when I try to sit down in it!). Now, the individual in question has many talents, cooking, however, is NOT one of them!  

After a wonderful bath, scented with ylang ylang and patchouli, I was lounging in My favorite chinese silk outfit when the smell of burning assailed Me….so I ran into the kitchen… and blew My birthday cake out! I’m reasonably certain there are meant to be candles that you blow out on a cake, NOT the actual cake itself! Or am I alone in this??????? Said cake had flames leaping from it and had to plunged into water where it hissed and spat to the point I felt like a farrier!  

Can anyone tell Me…..should the inside of your microwave peel??????? Luckily, the back door had been repaired(!) so coffee slave was able to put the stinking, peeling microwave outside.  
 
 

And yes, the house STILL smells. And yes, she is banned from the kitchen for the rest of her life!
