For many, the inclusion of such devices is considered a “cop out” within a scene. The argument goes that submission can not be absolute or complete if the sub is able to call a halt to things, and that the Dominant does not obtain genuine control if safe-words are used. For a start, the use of safe-words exclusively by a submissive is a fallacy.  Safe-words are there to be used by both the Dominant and the submissive. If I had any real concerns about the way a scene was progressing I would not hesitate to use them Myself!

While I can understand why many would hold this to be true, I can not and will not play someone new to Me without such a safeguard in place. How can I possibly claim to be a responsible Dominant without using them with someone new? I have not had time to refine My ability to read that person’s body language and understand their responses, so I can not 100% gauge their experience or reponses. Once W/we are used to each other, safe-words become irrelevant except in exceptional circumstances.

When people come to see Me as a pro-Domme, or when I casually play someone in a fetish club I insist on the use of the traffic light system (red = “emergency/medical stop Mistress”, amber= “please ease off Mistress”, green= “i’m loving it Mistress!”), or a visual signal if I have elected to steal speech from the submissive. It’s a simple precaution that ensures the safety of all concerned.

Obviously, as time goes by we are able to dispense with such things as we get to know each other and trust is built. It is important to note that trust can be built far more quickly if safe-words are in place and don’t need to be used! So another benefit of the use of safe-words can be seen.

If the Dominant plays the sub well enough, then safewords don’t need to be used and trust is gained. Simple and effective! Never play with a Dominant who doesn’t use safewords is the best advice I can offer to someone new to the Kinkdom. Anyone with that much arrogance will not give a session that is enjoyable to both parties!

Having a naturally enquiring mind, and having friends who are likeminded has led Me to form the Sisters of Darkness KRUsH Programme (Kinky Research Using subs How-We-see-fit!).

Our first project was establishing why subs have nipples and whether they are removable or not. Some debate between Myself and fellow Sisters ensued….were subs nipples push fit or threaded? We’ve now spent years in Our research and not yet arrived at any firm conclusion. As We think We need to be very thorough, We won’t rest until We’ve tested thousands of subjects….each!

Thus far the following techniques have been utilised:

1. Manual twisting
2. Clamped twisting (as a variable)
3. Thai sticks twisting and manipulation.
4. Tweasers (several types)
5. Lubrication (hot wax)
6. Cocktail sticks (to break the seal)
7. Manual pulling
8. Manual pushing (particularly after removal of Japanese Nightingales)
9. Abrasion thechniques
10. Biting
11. Pinwheels
12. Electricty
13. Ice

Thus far we have only established that the nipple on the sub seems to be some sort of multi-function control device. Given sufficient manipulation the sub seems to have their humidity and temperature controls there (i.e. the more you manipulate them, the more they get all hot and perspire). Additionally, volume and pitch of voice seem directly related to the nipples, and it is possible with the correct technique to allow a sub’s voice to achieve harmonics that only dogs can hear.

Yummy! Today is going to be fun. I have a nice mellow day in front of Me playing with the adorable tykekez348 (long time no serve boy!) and then later rubber-switch is kindly taking Me across to Manchester to capture My darling kenai. Then kenai and I are off to stay at Kinky Cottage, one of My favourite places! 

The lovely Mistress Alpha has arranged for one of Her slaves to drive us to and from Club Lash. I’m looking forward very much to spending time with Mistress Alpha as She is one of My dearest friends and We’ve not had much time together lately as We’ve both been knee deep in other commitments. I’m also looking forward to catching up with Dave the Butcher, who has elegantly offered to buy Me “half a pint of shandy”……..mines a pint luv!

The theme at Club Lash this time is “cowboys and Indians”. Won’t that be interesting???????? I have an outfit or two in mind….hmmmmm….fetish wear or theme wear???? Decisions, decisions!

Yesterday was lovely in the end. The munch was well organised by ZakRLee and Miss Nix set a devilish quiz (BAH! Smarties indeed!) that was enjoyed by all. Rubber-Switch was lovely and behaved himself, even though I’d not let him out of his collar! LOL!

I enjoyed catching up with old friends…..waves at: Goldmane, Gold’s girl, t-tigger, Q, Miss Nix,  cuius umbra (who discovered the difference between a Woman and a Lady! LOL!) and (the omnipresent) Eric Stanton...

as well as meeting some new ones… waves at: “shoe sub” (those were lovely!), cats eyes, Master Neo & phoenix amber, et al!

A munch is wonderful thing to attend if you are new to the Kinkdom, want to find out more about the scene or hope to establish something more concrete in your life. They are informal (mostly) meetings in local pubs. Generally you are expected to tip up in ordinary clothing rather than spend a fortune on fetish wear, and most offer a “meet & greet” option for the nervous novice’s first solo flight. Indeed, I have often acted in this role at munches, helping a newbie not to feel quite so daunted at entering a room full of strangers. Those who attend munches are a mixed bag, but have a few things in common: the majority are friendly and welcoming, they all enjoy and embrace their lifestyle choices and they are all still learning new things (we never stop learning, any of us).

If you are unsure about attending a munch, get yourself along to Informed Consent and look up your nearest one and give it a go. The only thing you stand to lose is a few hours of your time and the sense of isolation you are wrapped in.
